I have just returned home from collecting my first samples at my site; Whites Creek Wetlands, Lilyfield. I collected three water and soil samples, one from the Southern end of the wetlands, one from the middle and one from the very Northern end. As my site is quite small I tried to spread out my testing as far as possible in order to get as much variety in my results as possible.
My area has experienced strong rain within the past 24 hours, so I am expecting to see a fairly high level of pollution in the water. However when I was sampling the water seemed to be quite clear and the turbidity seemed low, which is surprising as the water usually seems quite dirty. I suppose testing tomorrow will show how clean the water really is.
